A hero is someone willing to go above and beyond for a cause. Usually an ordinary individual driven to extraordinary feats by choice or circumstance. This time it is a man named Lenny Robinson. A self made man who took on the mantle of batman becuase of his son’s love of the character. Now he spend $25,000 a year on toys and batman memorabilia that he gives to sick children at hospitals in the New Jersey and Maryland area. Recently he was pulled over by the police on his way to visit cancer patients
Q and A Done with Lenny about his hospital visits
Q: What do you say to them when you visit them that you feel is in a sense inspiring and giving them hope? What are their responses when they see you?
A: They ask how fast can the bat mobile go. Where do I live? The older kids love Batman but they love the car. The younger kids into both. The age groups reflects ages 3 to 12…but nevertheless, parents and adults become little kids too. They take pictures, they take videos.
Q:When you were stopped the other day, you were coming from Georgetown Hospital for the Hope for Henry Foundation. What is that?
A:I wish more people knew about Hope for Henry. Here is where to find information: http://www.hopeforhenry.org/
