We all struggle with finding who we are and where we belong in life. When we were kids it seemed so easy just make friends, play and love life. However somewhere along the journey we got held up in a spiders web. Some will fight their way out and continue living , others will just lay there and await their fate. There are so many things that we think we can’t accomplish, because we are told over and over again that those dreams are not possible. We allow what should be the mighty roar of life be stifled and choked to nothing more than a whimper.
“I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar…”
If you were a gladiator, each and every day, you would train to be able to survive another day. You would train to know ,beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you will not be beaten simply because you weren’t ready. If we treated life that way and allowed ourselves to be swept up in the magic of it all. Truly working hard to achieve our greatest desires. Knowing at the end of it all that we gave everything, took every chance and left it all on the battlefield. Not only would we have achieved so much more but we would have changed the lives of those around us and altered their course for generations to come.
I have made it through life with very few regrets. I like to think that is cause i have always gone after what i want. In truth ,however, i have found if you make it far at all in life with out any regrets – it is probably because you have never taken any real chances. Mark twain once said “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Inside each of us is a champion waiting for the chance to prove its worth. A champion that has been telling you since birth you need to train. That you need to be ready for the day you find out why you were born. You may not want to tell anyone else who you are but deep down you know.
